FINALLY...WE FOUND MENUDO IN VIRGINIA!!! The service from Emilie was absolutely outstanding, the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was delicious. We will be back to enjoy more of the authentic Mexican food and it's military friendly. We are from Southern California and hopefully that helps you decide you have to try this great spot. #lachinapoblana

It had been a few years since I've been here so we stopped in for lunch one day, as we were in the mood for Birria. This place has some of the bet Birria in the area, if not the best in the DMV! The service is always friendly and the place is clean, but gets busy, so get there early!
I tried their Mulita Birria and it was excellent! The meat was flavorful and tender (yes, they use beef, not goat like traditional Birria). The consume was flavored nicely and the toppings were great! The guac was decent, not as flavorful as I recall, but their chips were the perfect kind, that were thin and not very filling.
Definitely highly recommend La China Poblana for excellent Mexican eats!!
Birria Tacos
Stopped here for a (super) quick lunch with a friend the other day. I'd never been here before, but she works in the area and I've heard about it from her SO many times. I finally decided to join her and understand the hype!! The restaurant itself is super cute, clean, and colorful. The staff was incredibly friendly and our order was ready when we arrived (we called ahead).
I ordered a couple of al pastor tacos. They were delicious!! The tacos were warm, fresh, and the sauce was a perfect addition to it. For the price I was blown away by the quality of the food. If I lived in the area I would definitely visit this place multiple times a week.
